Keep your software up to date without the hassle
Automatic updates close security holes before they become problems.

Automatic updates close security holes before they become problems. A simple routine keeps your phone, computer, and apps current with almost no effort.
Turn on automatic updates
Phones, computers, and browsers all offer automatic updates. Enable them for the operating system and for the app store so most fixes install overnight without any action from you.
Schedule restarts for a time you are not using the device, such as early morning.
Do not forget the other devices
Routers, smart TVs, printers, and smart-home gadgets also receive updates, but often only when you check. Log in to the router’s app or settings page once a quarter and apply any firmware updates.
If a device no longer receives updates at all, consider replacing it or keeping it off your main network.
Update with a little care
Before a major operating system upgrade, make sure your backup is current. Wait a few days after release if you rely on a specific app that may need its own update.
Small security updates, on the other hand, are best installed as soon as they arrive.
